Summer 1 – Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
This term we are using the story of Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. It tells the story of Jim Hawkins, a boy who discovers a treasure map and sets sail in search of hidden riches. Along the way, he encounters pirates, including the cunning Long John Silver, and faces danger and adventure on a remote island. The story explores themes of bravery, trust, and growing up, with moments of tension typical of pirate tales. It is a classic adventure suitable for confident readers.
We will be using the text to focus on writing our own version of the story.
Please have a look at the Knowledge Organisers in the Curriculum Documents tab above to find out more about our learning this term.
